Ingredients:
- 100g caster sugar
- 100g unsalted butter ( From a block is best)
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 200g plain flour
For decoration:
- 15-25 almonds (depending on how many you make), chopped in half
- Red gel food coloring

Cream together the butter and sugar, when smooth add in the egg. Mix until no lumps, add in the vanilla extract. Pour in the flour and fold it in, gather it with your hands until it is a fine dough. Add in a teaspoon of water if needed.

When the dough is ready, tear of a finger sized piece of dough. Roll it into a thick worm shape, and press it down a little and use a knife to make knuckles. Line a baking tray with baking paper, and put on the fingers. Place the almonds onto the finger tips and make sure they are in the correct place. Put it in the fridge for 30 minutes, and preheat the oven to 190C/370F/Gas mark 5. When out of the fridge, put in the oven for 10-15 minutes.

When out and cooled, use a paint brush to paint the almonds with food coloring. It looks like they have nail varnish on their nails.
ENJOY!
