Blind baking is something you do to the pastry of a tart or pie, to bake the pastry before the filling goes in. It is very simple. Here is how to blind bake:
So, you will have your pastry ready, in the baking tin. (For recipes go to the recipes section on my blog.) Get a piece of baking paper that covers the whole tin, and place it in the tin over the pastry. Then add in some ceramic baking balls. They stop the pastry from puffing up. And then put it in the oven, for how long it says in the recipe.
