How to cream

Creaming means simply mixing the butter and sugar together. It needs to be smooth, like cream, make sure it doesn’t have many grains of sugar that you can feel when you’re done.

Make sure your butter is soft, so put it carefully in the microwave for about 10 seconds, it will be so much easier to mix/cream. It should be paler when you’re done.

You can use an electric whisk for this, or a normal whisk (using a normal whisk just takes a little longer).
